This app-specific policy supplements the BlackFox Media LLC master Privacy Policy at https://www.blackfox-media.com/privacy-policy and governs Watch Tower Pro, an app that maps publicly documented surveillance cameras.

Privacy-First Summary

Watch Tower Pro runs on your device. We do not operate servers that collect your data, require no account, run no analytics or tracking, and show no ads. The surveillance-camera and ALPR locations it displays are bundled with the app and loaded into an on-device database on first launch — the app makes no runtime queries to any camera or license-plate data source. The only network requests WatchTower makes are to a map-tile service to draw the background map, described below. Your device location is used only on-device and is never transmitted to us.

Information We Do Not Collect

- Identifying information (name, email, phone, address)

- Your communications, files, microphone, or camera content

- Behavioral analytics, telemetry, or persistent identifiers

- Biometric identifiers

- Your location is never transmitted to BlackFox

Device Location

- Foreground: location is read via FusedLocationProviderClient solely to center the map. It is not transmitted to us.

- Background (optional): granting ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION enables the Android OS Geofencing API for proximity alerts; the app does not access raw background location.

- You may revoke location permissions at any time.

Camera & ALPR Data (Bundled — Offline)

The surveillance-camera and automated-license-plate-reader (ALPR) locations shown in WatchTower are compiled from publicly available datasets — including OpenStreetMap, the DeFlock/EFF Atlas of Surveillance project, and public government transport open-data — and are shipped inside the app. On first launch this bundled dataset is seeded into a local database on your device. Watch Tower (Pro) does not contact those sources at runtime and makes no network requests to retrieve or update camera data.

Map Tiles

To draw the background map, Watch Tower Pro uses the open MapLibre renderer with map tiles from OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org). As you pan or zoom, your device requests the visible map tiles directly from that service, which — like any web request — means your IP address and the map area you are viewing are visible to the tile provider. These requests are not proxied through BlackFox, carry no account or advertising identifiers, and are used only to render the map. OpenFreeMap's own policy governs those requests. No other network requests are made by the app.

Local Storage

- On-device database (SwiftData / SQLite): the bundled camera and ALPR locations and metadata

- Device preferences (UserDefaults / DataStore): your settings

- A limited map-tile cache maintained by the map renderer to reduce repeat downloads

All of this is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.

Notifications

Notification permission is used for proximity alerts only. Notifications are generated locally on your device; we send no marketing or promotional notifications.

Third-Party SDK's

Watch Tower Pro uses the open-source MapLibre map renderer and the OpenFreeMap tile service (above) to display the map. It contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

Apple App Store Privacy (iOS)

- App Tracking Transparency: Watch Tower Pro does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. It presents no App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt and requests no tracking permission.

- App Privacy "Nutrition Label": BlackFox collects no data. Map-tile requests transmit your IP address to the tile provider as a technical necessity of loading a map, but this is not linked to your identity, is not used to track you, and is not received by BlackFox; the App Privacy label reflects that BlackFox collects no data.

- Privacy Manifest: The app's Privacy Manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) declares no tracking and no collected data types.

Your Privacy Rights

Because we do not collect or store your personal data on any server, most data-protection rights are honored automatically. At any time you can uninstall the app, clear its storage, and revoke permissions. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), the EEA/UK/Switzerland (GDPR), Canada (PIPEDA/Quebec Law 25), Brazil (LGPD), Australia, and New Zealand have additional rights; because we hold no personal data about you, our response to a verifiable request will confirm that none exists. Children's Privacy

Watch Tower Pro is an adult tool, is not directed to children under 13 (16 where applicable), and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Contact support@blackfox-media.com with any concern; we hold no user data to delete.

Data Security

Your device is the primary security boundary. Watch Tower Pro relies on the platform permission and sandboxing model and stores local data in its private app area, inaccessible to other apps. On rooted or jailbroken devices, these guarantees may not hold.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app, its data sources, or the law. Material changes are reflected in the Last Updated date and noted in the in-app About/Read Me screen. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

Governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules; disputes brought exclusively in Texas courts except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
